Meeting Overview
The 17th European VLBI Network Symposium and Users' Meeting will be hosted by Jodrell Bank Centre for Astrophysics, The University of Manchester, United Kingdom, from 14-18 September 2026.The European VLBI Network Symposium is the main forum for discussion of the latest Very Long Baseline Interferometry scientific results and technical and technological developments within the EVN member countries. The purpose of this biennal meeting is to bring together the global VLBI community to exchange knowledge, share new research, discuss advancements in VLBI techniques, and foster a collaborative community in radio astronomy. We expect to be able to host up to 200 participants in September 2026 so please register early.
Date and Venue
The meeting will run from Monday 14 September until Friday 18 September 2026 at the Jodrell Bank Centre for Astrophysics, The University of Manchester.
Registration
We will open registration and abstract submission on 16th February 2026.
Fees, Funding, Visas and Travel Support
Registration fees for the meeting is expected to be about £375 and this will cover all lunches, teas and coffee breaks, a welcome reception on the evening of Monday 14 September 2026 at the iconic Manchester Museum and conference dinner (details to be announced soon). To facilitate organising visas, please register and request a visa letter as soon as possible.
