Date and Venue

The e-MERLIN Data School 2024 will be held at the Alan Turing Building and the Schuster Building at the University of Manchester from Monday 13 May - Wednesday 15 May 2024. We currently plan to start the meeting at 9am on the Monday morning and finish at 5pm Wednesday afternoon. Each day will run from approximately 9am-5pm (see schedule). On day 1, please come to the Alan Turing Building and proceed to the 3rd floor. Arrows will guide you to the common area where we will meet before proceeding to the meeting room around 9:30am.

The campus map can be found here.

Getting here

To get here, it is easiest to fly into Manchester International Airport and get the train to Manchester Oxford Road or Manchester Victoria or Manchester Picadilly stations. All three take you into the centre of Manchester and take 20-25 minutes. The Alan Turing Building can be reached from any of the train stations, though it is closest to Manchester Oxford Road and Manchester Picadilly stations and takes 15-20 minutes to walk.

We will have some accommodation block booked and information about this will be announced shortly. Accommodation will need to be paid for by the participant but we do have a small amount of support for those most in need to pay for their accommodation - please state if you would like this on the registration form and why.
